HVC Cerro Maduro Robusto
First bonfire of the year and I did it right.

There is something about that first fire of the season that just calls for a serious cigar. The air is cool, the flames are going and this dark beauty is lit and ready. The HVC Cerro Maduro looked almost too good sitting next to that fire, that jet black oily San Andrés wrapper glowing in the light like it was made for exactly this moment.

First draw and it delivers
everything that wrapper promises. Dark chocolate and espresso right out of the gate, then roasted hazelnut and molasses settle in and just take over. A slow rolling black pepper keeps things interesting the whole way through and the finish is this deep rich cocoa earthiness that lingers long after the smoke clears.

Bonfire season is officially open and it started about as well as it possibly could.
