El Septimo Emperor Sargon Maduro

NBA Finals game three. Knicks and Spurs at Madison Square Garden tonight and I went dark for the occasion.

This is the Emperor Sargon Maduro and if you have ever seen the natural wrapper version of this cigar you already know how good it is. The Maduro takes everything up a level. That wrapper is deep, dark and oily and it means business from the moment you look at it.

El Septimo out of Geneva ages their tobacco a minimum of five years on their own farms in Costa Rica and with this Maduro wrapper the payoff is absolutely incredible. Dark chocolate and espresso hit you right away, then molasses and toasted cedar roll in and just wrap around your whole palate like a warm blanket. Bold, rich and impossibly smooth all at the same time with a sweetness on the finish that makes every single draw feel like a reward.

Game three of the NBA Finals and a cigar this good. Tonight is already a win no matter what happens at The Garden.
