Cocoa di Padre by Chico Rivas

I don't really watch soccer. But I study greatness. Spain versus Argentina in the FIFA World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium is exactly that. The whole world tuned in to one game and I got a cigar worthy of that energy.

The Cocoa di Padre. There is a family in Northern Italy that has been handcrafting luxury chocolates and pastries since 1882. Their patriarch is a cigar head and he had Dominican master blender Chico Rivas roll a private family blend just for them. This was never supposed to leave their kitchen.

A very limited supply made it out. One of them ended up in my hand today.

Seven year aged Dominican Corojo wrapper over a five year aged Piloto Cubano binder, with a secret filler nobody's talking about. What comes out of all that is rich cocoa, pastry cream, toasted almond and baking spices with a sweetness that stays with you the entire smoke. It tastes exactly like something that family has been perfecting for over a hundred years.

The biggest sporting event in the world deserved this one.
