Flor de Selva Colección Aniversario Nº20 Corona

Getting in every last bonfire I can before summer packs it up for the year, and tonight’s stick is the Flor de Selva Colección Aniversario Nº20 Corona from Maya Selva Cigars. Twenty years in the business and this Honduran puro proves it.

Habano wrapper from the Jamastrán Valley, rolled tight around Honduran binder and filler that’s been doing this dance since before some of y’all were born. First pull off this thing and cedar hits you clean, then it settles into this natural tobacco sweetness with dried fruit hanging in the background. By the time you’re a couple inches in, black pepper starts creeping through on the retrohale and it wakes the whole profile up.

Medium to full body so it’s got some weight to it, but it never gets heavy or muddy. Sitting next to a fire with the smoke curling up into the trees, this is exactly the kind of cigar that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the last warm nights before fall shows up uninvited.
